Halloween 2026 in two minutes
The event is called Retro Halloween and it started on October 18, 2026. Nikilis said it was inspired by the Halloween 2015 event. It ends on November 16, 2026.
- Currency: candies. They drop on maps in place of coins, and regular coins do not spawn during the event.
- Battle pass: 30 tiers. Tier 1 is free, tiers 2 to 29 cost 600 candies each, and the last tier is the ancient Emberbow.
- Box: the 2026 Halloween Box costs 600 candies or 1 Halloween Key. The godly in it is Embersickle.
- Craft: the Cauldron in the lobby turns the Embersickle and the Emberbow into Emberscythe.
- Paid bundle: Mortal, 3,399 R$, with a godly knife, a godly gun and an effect.
- Extras: bingo, a leaderboard, a secret room in the lobby.
My honest read: the event is generous with small things and stingy with the one item everyone wants. More on that below.
New items and where they come from
| Item | How you get it | Current value |
|---|---|---|
| Emberbow (ancient gun) | Last battle pass tier, 100,000 candies | 1,800 |
| Emberscythe (ancient knife) | Cauldron: Embersickle + Emberbow | 1,500 |
| Embersickle (godly knife) | 2026 Halloween Box | 125 |
| Embergun (legendary gun) | 2026 Halloween Box | 0.8 |
| Mortal (godly knife) | Mortal Bundle or its own game pass | 158 |
| Immortal (godly gun) | Mortal Bundle or its own game pass | 158 |
Each godly also has a chroma version: Chroma Embersickle, Chroma Emberbow, Chroma Emberscythe, Chroma Mortal and Chroma Immortal. The Smolder effect comes with the bundle. Effects cannot be traded.
The top three of the event leaderboard get a gold, silver and bronze Emberbow, and the top 100 get a blue one. Players complain that bots fill the board, and the community answer is that bots get banned at the end of the event. I would not plan around the leaderboard.
Box odds
The 2026 Halloween Box has 12 items. Box odds:
| Rarity | Chance | Items |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 70% | CandyCorn, Skulls, Bombs, Bullets |
| Uncommon | 18% | Glow, Brew, Drool |
| Rare | 8% | Catseye, Raven |
| Legendary | 4% | Embergun |
| Godly | 0.2% | Embersickle |
| Chroma | 0.004% | Chroma Embersickle |
A 0.2% chance is 1 in 500 on average. It is an average, not a promise: you can open 500 boxes and see nothing. The chroma at 0.004% is 1 in 25,000, and I treat it as a lottery ticket, not a plan. Since September 2026 the box shows the chances before you open it, which Roblox requires for paid random items.
Keys are the cheap way in. Halloween Keys are rewards for almost every even tier of the pass, and one key opens one box.
The battle pass: 30 tiers, 117,400 candies
The whole pass costs 117,400 candies. Without the last tier that is about 17,400, which an ordinary player can reach. The last tier is the 100,000-candy Emberbow, and that is where the arguments start.
Each tier costs 600 candies; that is the only price that adds up to the 117,400 total.
Can you make it to Emberbow by November 16?
One player on Reddit counted about 700 candies a day for someone who collects 200 on maps and finishes the three daily bingo tasks. From October 21 to November 16 that is roughly 18,900 candies. That covers the pass tiers, not the 100,000.
For 100,000 you need about 3,300 candies a day for 30 days straight, from the first day. Starting on October 25 you have 23 days left, so about 4,350 a day. Put your own numbers in the calculator and see where you land.
Be honest with yourself about the result. If the answer is "no", you can still get the pass tiers, the keys and the box, and skip the Emberbow. The Cauldron and Emberscythe
The Cauldron brings crafting back to the lobby. Put the Embersickle from the box and the Emberbow from the pass in, and you get the ancient scythe Emberscythe. There is a small chance of the Chroma Emberscythe instead.
Emberbow and Emberscythe are the first chromas among ancient weapons in the game's history. Ancients had never dropped from boxes before, so this is a new kind of rare item.
Players also ask why the Emberscythe is cheaper than the Emberbow when you craft it from the Emberbow. I do not have a clean answer. The result is a knife, not a gun. Values are set by trades, not by crafting cost.
"Your account is not eligible for this reward"
The last pass tier is protected from bots. The game shows this message when it thinks your account is not real enough. It asks you to verify your identity on Roblox, and either make any Robux purchase in MM2 or have Roblox Plus.
Some players report that they are verified and have bought Robux many times, and still get the refusal. I have not seen a confirmed fix for that. The same limit started at Christmas 2025, when bots lost the ability to buy godly and ancient pass rewards.
If you got the message, check the three conditions first. If all three are met and the message stays, I do not know a fix that has been confirmed, so do not spend Robux to "try again".
The Mortal Bundle
The bundle costs 3,399 R$, is limited in time and holds the godly knife Mortal, the godly gun Immortal and the Smolder effect. Bought separately, the knife and the gun are 1,699 R$ each. Both have chroma versions.
I would not buy it for the value. New bundle items lose value fast, and players keep saying so ("I don't think buying bundles is ever worth it"). Buy it if you like the look and plan to keep the items.
What happens to the price of new items
New items usually fall in the first days. Players on Reddit and under Colbe's videos said it directly: the new godlies "crashed in 3 days, like the summer ones", and one reply on Embersickle was "it's already dropping". The reason is simple. Everyone opens boxes at the same time, supply is huge and demand has not formed yet.
My rule: do not trade for a new item in the first week at the price you see on day one. Watch the value changes page and wait. Check the current numbers on the values table before any trade.
Bingo, secret room and keys
- Bingo: a 3x3 card, the first since Easter 2023, with task names from Halloween 2015. Three tasks a day, refreshed at 08:00 UTC. Players mention 800 candies, 16 zombies in Infection, and five rounds with six kills.
- Secret room: click the skulls in the lobby in rainbow order, stand on a skull and type "candle". Behind the wall you can see a "Mortal Blade", a nod to a prank from six years ago.
- Keys: a Halloween Key opens one 2026 Halloween Box. Keys come from even pass tiers.
- Maps: the new Haunted House 2, plus all earlier Halloween maps are back: Manor, Farmhouse, Mineshaft, Barn (Infection), Vampire's Castle and Spaceship.
- Bots: they came back with the event. Choose a server by hand from the Servers tab if your server feels empty or odd, and do not farm candies on an account with expensive items.

| 2017 | Oct 27 to Nov 14 | |
| 2018 | Oct 25 to Nov 12 | |
| 2019 | Oct 26 to Nov 16 | Two godlies, a godly pet and an ancient knife |
| 2020 | Oct 26 to Nov 22 | |
| 2021 | Oct 23 to Nov 25 | New map pair, leaderboard, first Evo (Reaver), ancient Harvester |
| 2022 | Oct 16 to Nov 10 | Survivors against zombies lobby |
| 2023 | Oct 17 to Nov 21 | |
| 2024 | Oct 16 to Dec 9 | 4 new godlies, a new battle pass |
| 2025 | Oct 18 to Nov 21 | Alien theme, 25-tier pass, 4 godlies |
In 2021 the Harvester cost 80,000 candies for the last tier, and 97,400 for the whole path. Events keep getting bigger, and so does the last prize.
