How MM2 events work

MM2 runs the same seasonal events every year. In 2025 the calendar went like this: Easter on April 18, Summer on July 18, Halloween on October 18, Thanksgiving on November 21 and Christmas on December 14. Halloween and Christmas are the big ones, with the most items and the most expensive rewards.

A modern event usually has three parts:

  • An event currency you collect on maps instead of coins: candies at Halloween, tokens at Christmas.
  • A battle pass with tiers you buy with that currency. The last tier is the prize everyone talks about, often an Ancient. In 2026 it is the Emberbow for 100,000 candies, in Christmas 2025 it was the Snowcannon for 100,000 tokens.
  • An event box with a Godly at about 1 in 500 and a Chroma version far rarer than that.

Ancients come only from events, through the pass or a gamepass. They have never dropped from a box.

Why old event items get more valuable

When an event ends, its box and its pass close. From that moment the only way to get its items is to trade for them, and no new copies appear. That is why items from long-finished events often hold value better than this year's.

There is a catch. The final pass reward is earned by a lot of players, so it is rarely the most valuable item of its year. Harvester took 80,000 candies at Halloween 2021 and trades at 250 today. The box Chroma of the same event is usually worth far more, because almost nobody unboxed it.

When a new event drops, I look at the box first and the pass prize second. I play the pass for fun; for trading I care about whatever drops rarely.

Leaderboard trophies

Since Christmas 2017 big events have had a leaderboard. The top three get Gold, Silver and Bronze versions of the event weapon, like Gold Harvester. Those copies are one of a kind and nobody trades them, so their numbers are symbolic. On event pages they are listed but left out of the set total.

How to read an event card

Each card shows how many items the event added, its most valuable tradable item and the full set: one of each item at today's values. Open any event for the full table with demand and weekly change. The numbers update every day.

What comes next

The next big event is Christmas. In 2025 it started on December 14, and a Christmas 2026 page will go up here as soon as the event is announced. I would not trust leaks before an event: in September 2026 several "Halloween 2026 leaks" turned out to be fake.

Questions players ask

Which MM2 event had the most valuable items?

Right now the most valuable tradable item from an event is Chroma Traveler's Gun from the Halloween 2023 box, worth 140,000. Open the Halloween 2023 card for the full set.

Can you still get items from old events?

Only by trading. When an event ends, its box and battle pass close, and the items stay on the accounts of the players who got them.

What is the rarest event reward?

The leaderboard trophies: one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze per event. They are not traded, so their value is symbolic.

Do event items go up in value after the event?

Often, because supply stops growing. The pass prize is the exception: so many players earn it that it can stay cheap, like Harvester.
